Here Goes!

Due to lack of funds and there is just so much I need to buy.  I decided to venture into the world of eBay selling.
Yes slightly confusing at first, but I muddled through.
Ok so what am I selling? Well having read that an old Citadel/GW minature sold for around £100. I suddenly, in the dim, dark recesses of my memory seeing such an item. After much searching, pilling up of boxes to get to the one box I needed (at the bottom). I found it!
A couple of drunken Dwarfs

Here they are on eBay:

Another seller has the same miniature for £130!
As I need the cash and don't think I'll get that much got it, decided to put it on for much less as a buy now. Have also put it under auction as well.  We'll see what happens. Have already marked what I want to buy with the funds!!
Now where's that Dwarf bugmans cart I have.

Moo good to just throw away

After eating a frozen yogurt (an acquired taste) I was left with this flexible but quite sturdy plastic top.

Penny for size (yes I know dear I haven't made the bed yet this morning!)
Now much to my Wife's continued annoyance I'm never one to throw things away.  With the inspirational though of "ah I could use this for ............ ".

So here's the dilemma and challenge for all you keen wargames terrain bloggers. What the hell could I do with it?

Answers on a post card or just add your suggestions in the comment box.

By the way nothing that involves an excess amount of discomfort and K - Y jelly will be excepted.

"Suits you sir, suits you."

Just watched Richard III king in the car park on 4 oD replay

WHO is that mad women? OK she may run the Richard III society but she has no idea about the life and times of that era.

Classic comment she made. "How would he fit into his armour if he had a hunch back?"
What you think he went to 'Armour suits 4 U' and got one off the peg? "

Only the rich could afford armour as it was MADE TO MEASURE, more likey he atttended Ye Old Dunn & Co.

Time to spare while the paint dries?

Recently I have started downloading and listening to podcasts.
I have found this excellant one;
Local Anaesthetic Podcast

It's format is that the two presenters Rob and Alex look at local newspapers where they live in East London, UK and their home towns. They also ask the listeners to email in web links to their local news stories.
Some of the stories are hilarious, some are not even what you class as news . But the best bits are the readers comments they read out.

I my self have emailed them a couple of articles in my local Bristol newspaper.

Take a listen you won't be disappointed. I recommend you start with their first podcast and work your way through as some stories they talk about may link to previous articles reviewed.

They can be found on their web site www.lapodcast.net

On iTunes (there is also a link to iTunes on their web site)

If you want to email them with your local news story links, then email them HERE

Is there any hope?

We all moan about the youth and teenagers of today, but perhaps some of the blame falls squarely on the shoulders of those who we trust in our child's education and development.

This is a sign seen outside a College in Bristol, England.
